Two years ago, Billie Tarrow's husband left her for another woman. Shamed and divorced, Billie retreated to her family home in Port Townsend, far from her old life in New York. After a near-death encounter, Billie decides to return to the city that took everything from her.

But sometimes in the midst of heartache, hope suffocates the pain.

Satcher Gable has carried a torch for Billie for ten years. When she suddenly returns to New York a single woman, he can't believe his good fortune. But convincing her to walk away from her heartache is proving more difficult than Satcher anticipated. A changed woman, Billie's only goal is revenge.

I finished F*ck Marriage one sitting…at 3:30a this morning and I’m not sure how I’m functioning right now.

Tarryn Fisher writes with purpose… every word and action carefully thought out and planned.

F*ck Marriage gave me high anxiety because I didn’t know how it would all turn out. Billie is actively seeking revenge when there are so many better things right in front of her to focus on.

Let’s face it… cheating… divorce sucks. The heartbreak and repercussions of actions even more devastating. I liked Billie’s sass and her strength and felt such heartache experiencing her sadness in the face of her ex and his new fiancée. Watching her spiral and drink and navigate these feelings felt authentic and real.

The secondary characters, while some I hated and couldn’t stand, all played their part to move the story forward and helped our heroine grow… find herself… realize what was important to be happy. I absolutely loved Satcher. I’m calling him as mine first. 😍

Was everything perfect? No. Did I want some things to be different. Yes. There is something later in the story that gutted me and at the end, I wished for more time… maybe an epilogue.

But in true Tarryn fashion… she captured me with her words… with her characters… with the journey… and my book loving heart is more complete because of the experience.

If you haven’t read this author before, each and every book is different and gives you things to reflect on. This book was no different. ❤
